How To Grill Shark Steaks

Shark steaks are a delicacy in most parts of the globe. It is a high source of protein and a much better alternative to beef and pork steaks. Grilling fish is relatively easy, but you must ensure that you put in the right marinade.

How to grill shark

Shark steaks – 6
Lemon juice – 2 tbsps.
Ground pepper – 1/3 tbsps.
Garlic cloves (minced) – 2
Fresh chopped parsley – ¼ cup
Catsup – ¼ cup
Orange juice – ½ cup
Soy sauce – ½ cup
Salt to taste

Method:

Mix all the ingredients for the marinade thoroughly in a re-sealable bag. Then add the fish steaks and refrigerate for at least two hours.

Then remove the marinated fish onto a plate and keep the marinade aside. Now, pat dry the fish steaks with a paper towel and then coat with a liberal layer of extra virgin olive oil to prevent the fish from sticking onto the grill.

Clean the grates of the grill thoroughly with a wire mesh and coat it with olive oil using a paper towel. Then preheat the grill until it reaches the maximum temperature. Place the fish steaks over the red hot charcoals for about 6 minutes. Flip the steaks over and leave it for another 6 minutes and test it with a fork to see if it is done. Use up the entire marinade and keep basting at regular intervals. After the steaks are done, remove onto plate and give it a resting period of five minutes. This will bring out the juices in the steak. If the liquid runs clear, it is an indication that the fish is cooked and it is ready to be served.

You could use any marinade of your choice to make the steaks. However, if you are using a sweetish BBQ sauce, you must ensure that the grilling process is at least half done before you can use the BBQ sauce or the steaks may burn up due to the excessive sugar in the BBQ sauce.

With the rise of the modern way of thinking came enormous effects for the Chinese elite at the beginning of the new century. It seemed natural for these intellectuals to seek learning in the West. Japan, America, and Europe all became significant destinations for Chinese students in the opening decades of the 20th century. It turned out that painters seemed to end up in France. In France Chinese painters could learn the classical teachings in drawing and oil painting of the professors of the Academie des Beaux-Arts, along with the growing influence of certain avant-garde masters.
